LiveDrop uses any display as the “sender” and any camera as the “receiver". At the sending end, a random file is encoded into a moving data matrix in which the entire file is integrated regardless of format or size. At the receiving end, the data matrix is scanned, the data is received and decoded back to its original format. This whole process takes place completely offline. This means the only hardware you need is a random display and a random camera.
LiveDrop is a cross-platform information exchange method; it enables you to seamlessly share files between Windows, Android and iOS devices. The free LiveDrop Offline Sharing app can be installed, for non-commercial use, in the public app stores and for Windows our software suite can be bought to facilitate you in exchanging data between your computer and mobile devices.
No, there is no limit to the file size. Sending a bigger file simply takes longer to scan by the receiver.
All file types can be sent with LiveDrop. Whether you would like to send an Office file, a PDF, an image or any other format, it is all supported with LiveDrop.
